Lace on Oak with Persimmon

Painted for  Lela Stankovic's  Paint and Draw Together March challenge. The photo from which this painting is done, had the doily flipped up behind and over the persimmon sort of cradling it. Although the white lace added an interesting pattern against the blue wall, I chose not to paint it that way. I guess I wanted the fruit to have more prominence, it is such a rich luscious color of red orange.
