In the Lilac Tree

Yellow male Evening Grosbeaks and brown female grosbeaks, red house finches, are just a few of the many varieties of birds who stop by for the oily sunflower seeds. There were dozens of birds at the feeder before I went out to take pictures. Even though I stood at a distance and used a long lens, only these few brave but wary birds came back while I was out there.

  1. These photos are a feast for the eyes Jean!! The lilacs are beautiful and your hospitality for the birds makes your garden popular for the birds.

  2. I love feeding the birds as well. Only mine have gotten so use to me, they stand around in the dogwood tree, watching me as I refill the feeder!

  3. I brought a bouquet of lilacs home from our last weekend trip out of town. I love everything about them, from their colour, to their scent. Delicious!

Thanks for the recommendation over at my place. I picked up a bottle of magnesium after work and will give it a shot. I hope I have the same success as you experienced. *smile*
