Yellow male Evening Grosbeaks and brown female grosbeaks, red house finches, are just a few of the many varieties of birds who stop by for the oily sunflower seeds. There were dozens of birds at the feeder before I went out to take pictures. Even though I stood at a distance and used a long lens, only these few brave but wary birds came back while I was out there.
These photos are a feast for the eyes Jean!! The lilacs are beautiful and your hospitality for the birds makes your garden popular for the birds.
ReplyDeleteI love feeding the birds as well. Only mine have gotten so use to me, they stand around in the dogwood tree, watching me as I refill the feeder!
ReplyDeleteI brought a bouquet of lilacs home from our last weekend trip out of town. I love everything about them, from their colour, to their scent. Delicious!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation over at my place. I picked up a bottle of magnesium after work and will give it a shot. I hope I have the same success as you experienced. *smile*
Blessings,
