Early Morning on the Steens Mountains

These are the beautiful wild horses of eastern Oregon.
They are Kigers, or more commonly known as Mustangs -
descended from the Spanish horses brought here centuries ago, by early explorers.
They come in a variety of colors, both bold and muted,
some with dark or striped stockings;
and long manes and tales.

Bacon - Maple Bar

Painted for DPW's doughnut challenge.
This doughnut is from Portland's famous
Voo Doo Doughnut shop.
It is typical Portlandia weird. They make
doughnuts like you can get no where else.
This is my favorite.

4"x6" acrylic on linen paper

$25.

The Red Bicycle

Painted this lovely old Victorian Queen Anne, amidst all the
glorious fall colors, from a photo Woodstock Fall
taken by Stephen Baird of Nikon Sniper,
(with his permission of course).
(Changed the name to The Red Bicycle from Woodstock Victorian)

I particularly loved the autumn colors and afternoon shadows,
with the concentrated sunlight at the rear of the house.
I made a few minor changes such as: enhanced the picket fence,
added the bicycle, and somewhat simplified the house details.
