Catching Tadpoles

The beautiful autumn days of warm weather

bring the children out to the river.

These kids are catching tadpoles in jars

 - or maybe it's crawdads.

Ribbon Game

Don't know what the game is

that these sweet little Dutch girls are playing,

but I loved the old sepia photo (I added the color),

the traditional costumes and the wooden shoes.

Christmas Snow

There is magic in a Christmas snowfall.

Children sense it and can play outside seemingly oblivious to the cold.

They sled and build snowmen, and run and throw snowballs.

There is a whimsical feel to this Christmas village

that places this scene within the realm of childhood imagination.

Happy Holidays!
