Marigolds

 

 

These Marigolds live in a pot on the steps of the front porch,

welcoming visitors with their cheery golden countenances.

 I love the way their petals reflect various shades of gold and orange,

 and chose to paint them in such a way that this feature stands out.

Blue and Gold

Summer's garden offers fresh fruit and lovely flowers. Among my favorites are lucious Blueberries and pretty little Marigolds. For painting, I particularly like the blueberry clusters at their inbetween stage of ripening for all the lovely colors they present.
