Pears and Grapes

I bought this fruit to be a delicious dessert; 

but they were too lovely to eat without painting them first. 

I included the pear blossoms for added interest.

Promise of Spring

The snowy white blossoms of our Asian pear tree
hold the promise of the golden fruit to come this summer.
These blossoms reveal the many 'shades of  white'.

The Spotted Teapot

Painted for DPW's "Polka Dot" challenge.

A brightly colored painting (after Josephine Trotter) 

sets a blue spotted teapot and lively pears 

on waves of tablecloth against vivid blue wall.

In following her style, I particularly liked her use of 

primary colors and her compositional movement.
