Upsy-daisy Watermelon

Painted for the DWP Upside-down challenge, where Carol Marine offered an upside-down photo and asked participants to paint it that way. The set-up was watermelon slices and a silver bowl on a blue glass surface. Lots of reflections. (The first version is the painting flipped right-side-up, the second version is the painting just as it was painted.)

6"x6" acrylic on linen paper

$50.

  1. I must say Jean,I think you've out done yourself. The bowl and the reflections on it are so real, the watermelon looks so fresh. The colours are spot on too.
