Water Lilies

I originally painted this scene from a photo Dana Marie offered for a challenge
on her Artistic Sentiments blog during September.

I always felt that it wasn't quite finished, so I revisited it.
I added the water lilies, enhenced the underwater lily pads,
brightened the white light and clouds reflections.

Upsy-daisy Watermelon

Painted for the DWP Upside-down challenge, where Carol Marine offered an upside-down photo and asked participants to paint it that way. The set-up was watermelon slices and a silver bowl on a blue glass surface. Lots of reflections. (The first version is the painting flipped right-side-up, the second version is the painting just as it was painted.)
