The challenge was to merge sky and water

into a somewhat abstracted painting.

​These swans are swimming in a pond of a garden. 

She has found her mate,

Water Lilies

I originally painted this scene from a photo Dana Marie offered for a challenge
on her Artistic Sentiments blog during September.

I always felt that it wasn't quite finished, so I revisited it.
I added the water lilies, enhenced the underwater lily pads,
brightened the white light and clouds reflections.
