Hefeweizen with Lemon

Jen's Rookiepainter Challenge for September is a lemon and wedge still life. I was just looking at the picture on a warm afternoon trying to see how to paint it, when this image came to mind. Actually I first thought of a pretty teacup with lemon, but something cold sounded better, and this is my favorite beer.

6"X8" palette knife acrylic on linen.

  1. What a Popping display of sour sweet. I love it the colors, the frosty cool of the drink. Beautiful.

  2. I really like your rendition on this, and I love the textures you added. That glass looks good enough to reach out & grab it. I can almost feel the icy cold to the glass & taste the bitter lemon. Great work!
