Little Beachcomber

Children love to collect interesting things.
This little one is beach combing for pretty shells,
tossed upon the shores after the last storm.

Green Light

Plein air sketch painted last summer,
of  one of my favorite forest campgrounds
and hiking trails in the Oregon Cascades
near the Columbia River.
I dug it out and did a few finishing touches to it.

Frosted

The below freezing temperatures and fog have been creating
a winter wonderland of ice and frost where I live.
This oak tree in our back pasture
looks like it has sprouted frost blossoms.

River Frost

The fog along the river dusts everything with frost
when the temperature drops near freezing.
The effect is that these cattails look as if they
have been dusted with powder sugar.
This painting has been entered in Dana Marie's
Rendition Me This Challenge.
This is an interesting challenge,
where the artist renders her own version
of the challenge painting.
Not a copy of it,
but what the painting may inspire.
Try it, it is a unique and interesting challenge.
