Magnolia Blossoms

Lovely pink Magnolia blossoms seem to float
through the clouds, of a deep blue sky.

Lavendar Path

This lovely path is bordered by spring and summer flowers
of a serene and inviting garden.
The air is filled with their sweet perfume.

French Country House

Painted for Lee Brown's A Day Not Wasted May challenge;
from his photo of an old stone farm house in the south of France.
I was reminded of Vincent van Gogh when I saw it
and tried to paint in his style in homage to him.
Following the Masters is always fun and a good learning experience.

Pretty in Pink

A girls love affair with shoes begins early,
and she can't have too many pair of shoes.
Which to choose?

Iced Coffee

Warmer days are for outdoor living.
While out for a walk, I found this fun scene.
Time to take a break from sight seeing or shopping
to enjoy a favorite beverage. Easy summer living...

Card I created for my mother for Mother's day.
She always liked birds, so I painted a yellow house finch
in a lilac bush, another of her favorites.
Although my mother's fledglings have all left the nest,
this little mother has three pale blue eggs in her nest.

Fishing Boats on the Beach

When Van Gogh lived in Arles, he took a trip to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer

on the Mediterranean Sea, where he made several paintings
of the seascape and town.

I painted this from a photo of one of these
Vincent Van Gogh paintings of beached fishing vessels.
The photo was provided by Karen D'Angeac Mihm for her
"Painting the Masters" challenge.
