Winter Sunset

Painted for DPW's "Picasso It" challenge,
where you are invited to style a painting after a favorite artist.

This painting I have styled after one of my favorite
living artists, Kevin Macpherson. Maybe in a few more decades
I will come close to his wonderful style.

This is actually a redo of the painting I submitted to Bill Guffey's
Virtual Paintout in Arles, France.
I wasn't completely happy with my original work which you may see on his blog.

Arles is one of the places Vincent Van Gogh lived in and painted.

Rainy Day Gear

Red rainboots painted for DPW's "Paint Your Shoes" challenge.
Because I live in the PNW and it rains a lot here,
I chose to paint my fireman red rainboots,
which I take off at the door to keep from tracking in mud and water.
No! I don't leave them there.

Oddly enough, one my favorite parts of this picture
is the 'Boos Blocks' inscription on the cutting board.
