Dragonfly in Amber Leaves

Dreaming Nature: Dragonfly in amber leaves.
First in a series for Leslie Saeta's
Thirty paintings in thirty days challenge.

The theme I have chosen "Dreaming Nature" was inspired
by a saying of Paul Gaugin
"Seek art in nature by dreaming in the presence of it."
The challenge  to use one theme for thirty painting
is daunting to say the least.
I hope it will evolve as the month goes by,
so that the paintings don't get stale.
We shall see!

  1. Wishing you a very Happy New Year Jean!
You started off so well with 2013. 30 paintings in 30 days could have been scary for me but I am so glad you took up the challenge. Your first in the series came out so wonderful.I loved how it has an abstract feel to it.All the best!

  2. What a marvelous theme for a series of paintings.
This one is delightful and your use of the complimentary colors offers lots of punch!

  3. This is so serene. I look forward to seeing your theme progress! I'm excited to see what we all end up making over the next 30 days (:

  4. Love the color combination you did in this, and the design is so fluid. Nice work!
