Country Morning

 

Plein air painting I did on my roadtrip

of Central Oregon's high desert farm lands.

I particularly liked the misty hills and wonderful light

of the early morning on the landscape.

Morning Song

Sometimes, when the sun is just beginning to ascend,
 it begins as a reddish orb that gradually becomes a butter yellow.
The sky reflects the golden glow, setting tree tops alight,
and clouds and mist revealing various shades of purples.
You can almost hear the earth singing to the new day.
