Red Poppies in Vase

 

 

I have been thinking of painting another red poppy painting.

I like them very much and have done a few in the past. 

This one is a bit different, and I am pleased with the way it turned.

(I am not so pleased with my camera's image.

The reds seem a tad more orange than they really are.

maybe it's time to shop for a new camera.)

California Poppies

Painted for DPW reflection challenge. I am in a colorful mood lately, hence the bright oranges, reds, and blues.

Poppies and Buttons

Love these beautiful red poppies. Every time I passed these brilliant red flowers growing along the road, I made a mental note to paint them. Well it took awhile, but I finally did. Added the little purple-blue batchelors buttons for contrast.
