The Marshlands

Two years ago, I traveled by car across the US from Oregon to North Carolina, by a wandering route that took me to many scenic places. One of my favorites was the Coastal waterways of North Carolina, where I took this photo of the marsh grasses, with a stilted beach house in the distance.

Another unique feature of this area is that it is a habitat for protected Red Wolves that were reintroduced to NC after becoming extinct here several decades ago.

  1. This landscape is fantastic! The colours are in harmony, great reflections and I could just imagine walking through the field.I would love to see this scene for real.

  2. Very well done Jean.I loved this.

  3. I like this picture - the close distant farm house and the beautifully painted water.
